I know it's fun to do this sort of thing, but I'll steer clear and let others do it. All of the assets your mentioned are great, but the greatest and most immeasureable asset is heart. I'm not making jest of your idea, because I will look forward to seeing the list as it progresses.

I would have to say the fullback Tommy Blake from Aransas Pass. He has been one of the few ppl from this area that has a chance to go to a Division 1 collage. Anybody that has played against him knows why. They say he runs a 4.4 40,and the rest of the maxs are not avadiable. But that is my vote.

Tommy Blake, RB Aransas Pass

6'4", 225 lbs.

Speed: I'd say 4.4 or 4.5, but I don't know for sure... What would you say, Missile? wink
Strength: Strong enough.
Vert: As a 6'3" post in basketball last year, Blake averaged 6.2 blocks per game just in the playoffs, playing mostly against larger competition. I'd say it's higher than my 27" back when I was in school.

Joseph Jennings, RB Everman

Height: 5'11
Weight: 185
40-yard Dash: 4.5 sec

A strong (both in and out of weight room) runner, JJ is the complete package when healthy. Hampered by an ankle injury last year, JJ's role was reduced. But after healing, he has taken the reins again as Everman's #1 running back. JJ has a chance to go D-1 and has the tools to go a long way.

I would like to nominate two players for players of the year

-Jordon Shipley-
6'00" 175 4.4 speed vertical not known but can dunk a basketball with ease, and I mean with ease
shipley will be the most prolific reciever in all of Texas high school history before he graduates next year. Soft hands great route running ability and general football savy. Only has 4.4 speed but after an ankle breaking, knee twisting, mind joggling run you would swear he was more around 4.1 speed, and thats on regular grass, on turf ......goodnight nurse

-Patrick Miller-
5'09.5" 210 4.5 speed bench press 320+ squat 550+ went to state powerlifting meet vertical unknown great slashing, spining powerful runner deceptive speed, looks like you've got the angle on him and he just beats you to the spot. Hard to bring down with one defender or in the open field. This running back would be well over the 2500 rushing mark had he not been on a team where the ball must be spread out between so many great athletes. Unselfishness another great attribute.

I don't think Tommy Blake runs a 4.4. He takes time to pick up his speed. Once he picks it up, then he's fast. I would have to say that he runs a 4.6 40. Don't get me wrong, that's still fast for somebody his size. He's a good athlete. Well, we have to get ready for Bandera. Laterz.

Hey Missile how would you know how long it took him to pick up speed? You were on your back cause he ran you over all night. If he is not that fast where were you when he broke for 67 yards? I just have to ask how many time did yall try to hurt him with that ankel twisting crap? Well anyway good game and good luck.
