3a football commits

Who are some of the bigtime 3a players that are going onto the next level? There are a few im curious about? #5 from burkburnett the rb? Nic Hammett of Rockdale? #5 from Burnet, and the si'darius kid from Carthage? I know there are probably more than that but i would like to know where most are going so i can maybe keep tabs on them in college. Mike Hicks is committed to Baylor, Ryan Boutwell to North Texas, and James French the kicker and punter for us, was invited to walk on at ATM, and Daric Gorton is going to West Texas ATM.

Hayden Baillio of Whitesboro is signing with UT track tomorrow. He had the second-best shot in the nation for a 16-year-old last year. The UT coaches saw him at Mike Myers last May and offered him on the spot.

Not so fast. It was reported on an East Texas website that he would also sign with a junior college today. I guess that is common practice. If he can't gain admission academically at TCU, he will go to the JC.

Paris had 6 signees today. Funny thing is one of them was dismissed from the team last year for disclipinary reasons and then was going to try again this year and was kicked off before the season even started. He signed with Stephen F Austin.

This is common. If he only signed with TCU, and he didnt have the grades, he would have to attend a Jr. College and go to TCU once he was finished at the JC. If he signs with a JC and TCU, he can have the option of any school that wants him, not just TCU, when he is finished at his JC.

Nathan Bidelman was the only Celina player to sign yesterday — to Midwestern State.

Charley Waldrep already has a scholarship to Bama waiting, so I doubt he'll sign a letter. As far as I know, Troy McCartney is still a free agent. I imagine baseball will be the route both of them go.
