I saw his story on the front page of the Caller-Times this morning and thought I'd look it up.
For anyone from the CC area who remembers this kid, he was Calallen's RB back in the '00 season... back when they lost to WO-S in the State Semis at the Alamodome (that game's been burned in my mind as one of the greatest I've ever seen). He was also the first person I ever interviewed after I got into reporting and one of my favorite HS athletes. Ran like Walter Payton and was as respectful as anyone I've ever met.
Crazy when you see hometown boys like this do well. Figured some of our Calallen posters would want to see this.
