By making just about every kick he’s stepped behind the last two seasons, China Spring kicker James French established himself as one of Central Texas’ best ever at the position.
On Friday, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football recognized French as the top kicker in the state.
French, who made 107 consecutive extra points as a junior and senior for the Cougars, is the first-team kicker on the all-Texas High School Football Team.
Joining French on the all-classes team from Central Texas are Midway running back John Hubert, a second-team running back, and French’s teammate Mike Hicks, who was selected as the second-team utility player.
