8-3A Hoops results 1-23

Well, at least the Liberty Hill version..

The girls won at Burnet, 43-39...the Lady Panthers, NOT known for their free throw shooting, made 11-of-17 charity shots in the fourth quater alone. They were, I believe, 21-of-33 overall from the line. Meantime, Burnet's Lady Bulldogs, who put up a great fight, were just 10-of-23 from the line. Good game overall; Liberty Hill improves to 7-1 in district play, with their only loss coming to Llano.

The LH Panthers then beat the Burnet Bulldogs to stay undefeated on the boys' side of 8-3A play.

Anyone have any other 8-3A scores, either boys or girls, from Friday night?

While few are paying attention, LH boys have run up a 22 - 3 record, and appear to have the speed and intensity to hang with and defeat any 3a in the state. Last night they ran off 27 straight points and held Burnet scoreless for over 10 minutes!

LH fans, come on out and support your team Opponents, watch out, LH is coming in B-ball.
