Area high schools recognized as well in winter edition

BY MIKE FORMAN - MFORMAN@VICAD.COM

Cuero running back Trent Jackson was named the Class Act of 2012, representing the top freshman player in the state.

Jackson broke Robert Strait's school records for rushing yards (1,436) and rushing touchdowns (21) in a season.

Cuero quarterback Tyler Arndt and Refugio lineman Dylan Klare were listed among the magazine's potential coverboys for Class 3A and 2A, respectively, next season.

Arndt was among the Region IV players of the year in Class 3A and Klare and Industrial's Ryan Richter were chosen in Class 2A.

LInk to entire article (http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/topsports/story/398118.html) Dang, I missed this article in the paper.

Congrats to Trent, Tyler, and the other players for the statewide recognition.

Are the Winter Editions out all ready? Where can you find them?

I'd expect Cuero to have a higher rushing yards and TD record than that.

Season record is almost 3600 yrds and 56 Tds. for a Season by Robert.

Trent only started 8 games and missed two playoff games.

Did anyone pick up the Winter Edition? I'm curious what the early rankings for next year look like.
