I was going to dispute this until I really started thinking about this and there aren't any Sweetwater posters who bite their tounge or hold anything back.

So has anyone heard anything about Snyder, it's been awful quiet

This is what I've been hoping for for the last couple of years. Now I can root for both schools, my alma mater, and the school that I would be sent to if I still lived in Forney.

I don't see them staying 3A come realignment though.

Yeah. But, I hear that this new North Forney varsity team is
going to be slow and very over rated. :D

If they don't even have a senior class come realignment, wouldn't they still have 3A numbers?

North Forney principal says they will be placed in a 3a District next year by the UIL and will be competing on the Varsity level in all sports but football and will be in a 4A district at the next realignment.

their in a formula they use to calculate if a school doesn't have seniors.

I think it's current enrollment x 1.66

Back a few months ago they were expecting to open with 600, so their number would be 996. According to txbroadcaster though the major subdivision on that side of town is down like 35%

that housing edition going in right across the street from the new HS will make a big difference. Devonshire or whatever its called

It seems like NF will be sky rocketing up. They have windmill farks, devonshire, travis ranch plus all of old Forney by the original primary school.

No new subdivisions on the south side of town.

that is very true. It seems like old forney wouldn't have many students...BUT...there will be a lot of people living on the North side that elect to have their kids go to Old Forney high because they did. Isn't that something that they are able to do?

As long as people are actually moving into the homes then yes it will boost them big time

Yep. Parents, siblings or if they work there. Might be some others too

HUGE can of worms being opened up! This is wht is going to happen! They are going to elect to go to Old Forney because of their parents going there or whatever. Then all of a sudden North Forneyis going to start having some success and they are going to want to then elect to back to their home school, which is really North Forney. BUT...unless I misheard this.....if they elect to go to Old FOrney High because of one of those stipulations, they have to committ to being there their entire HS career right? I think I read that.

What is Forney's population? I'd look on the web. But, I'd find
five different answers.

That's got to be low now though...I doubt that nearly 40% of the city's population is in high school.
