District 2-3A Boys Basketball...Is Graham any good?

I ask this because they only beat our varsity 81-27 last Tuesday.:thinking:

Graham is the second best team in the district, next to Wylie, with Brownwood a close third.

Graham is usually pretty good at basketball. One of my old coaches was there back in the early 90's and thoroughly enjoyed coaching basketball there.

Graham can also lay claim to being the team that the SINTON PIRATES beat back in 1996 in the state title game. That was the last time a Region IV team won the state championship. In all fairness to the Steers, that Sinton team was really, really good and they hung around the entire game.

I think Graham was who Greenwood beat in 2003/2004 (not sure what year it was) to go to State....where we eventually got our butts handed to us by Koontze in the title game!!

I watched a very very good Rockdale team beat that same basic Sinton team at the Regional Seminfinals in 95 on Rockdales way to the State Tourney. Graham is coached by a legend from the BIG CITY OF RANGER TEXAS!!! Yea Baby!!!

Our boys are playing well. All of the boys teams are undefeated so far in district. We host Brownwood tomorrow. How are the Lions???:thinking:

We have done well this year. I think we are 19-4. Lost to Wylie and beat Breckenridge by about 30 on Tuesday. Tomorrow should be a very good game.

I've seen both teams play this year, and this game will come down to who makes there free throws and who takes care of the ball with no mistakes.

I bleieve the final was 75 to 64 if my memory serves me correct. We were donw by 16 early in the game then the boys decided to start playing.

I think we won by 8 or 9. Graham had us down 20-2 in the first quarter and the boys made a good come back to stay ahead the entire 4th quarter and win the game.

brownwood hung early. The lions are very athletic and can get up and down the court. Just made too many mistakes to stay in the game.
