School Songs

Does anyone know the name of the musical arrangement that is the school song for SLC, Denison, Jasper, WOS, and Bridge City? There are many other schools with the same song but those are the only ones I can think of right now.

Can you sing it for us, I don't think I have heard the song, it might help me or someone else come up with the name of the arrangement.

I don't know, but maybe you can find it on this college fight songs link. Lots of high school fight songs come from the colleges. Maybe you can match it up. If not, maybe you'll enjoy listening to some of these.

If I'm not mistaken WOS's school song is the same as Cuero's(Far Above Cayuga's Waters) .

Thanks! :thumbsup: I went to a couple of WOS's games a few years back . I remembered that, but, forgot about SLC from when we played them in 1993.

Then that's Sweetwater's(& Snyder's) tune as well as well.
I've been to quite a few SLC games, and I know their school song is the same as those two.

I did some searching and found out that it originated with Cornell University.

SLC is the same as my alma mater, Tarleton State University and Univ. of Wisconsin. I think is "Oh Wisconsin.

At one time I could name 17 different high schools that used this song. I just can't remember them all anymore. There are probably many more than that.

Tht's the fight song. And yes, the sheet music is 'On Wisconsin'.
Incidentally, that was Reagan Junior High in Sweetwater's fight song when I was there. I guess it's still the same now that the place is called Sweetwater Middle School, but I don't know for sure.
