Diop was a class act (both on and off the court). However, the contract the Mavs signed him to was horrendous. I'm very suprised they found someone to take on this contract.

Diop sucked.

He had 1 good 5 minutes where he dominated Tim Duncan in the game 7 OT. Other than that season he has been average.

Makes sense money wise. Carroll's contract goes down 400k a year while Diop's increases 400k a year.
