Patrick Miller has right at 100 touches. There are quite a few with a better avg., than Miller's 8.4 avg., although 8.4 is great and he has played some quality teams.

Matt Peebles, Bridge City has 9.4 yards per carry. It's kind of funny, Matt carries only about 12-15 times against weaker teams as his Coach is training other backs during District season. Against stronger teams he gets about 250 yards per game on 25 carries.

Commerce's Eddie Hines has an average of 10.88 yards per carry on 108 carries.

These two don't yet have 100 carries but Kennedale's Rex Harper has an average of 13.44 yards per carry on 82 carries and Forney's Baylen Laury has an average of 11.12 yards per carry on 81 carries.

It is really a shame that Sammy Salas went down early this year with a career ending knee injury. Anyone that had the pleasure of seeing this young man play, would agree that while he only got in 33 carries for 368 yards (11.15 yrds per carry) and six touchdowns, in two and a half games, he would definitely be a huge presence today. Some of us will never forget you Sammy, and will always cherish the times we got to watch you run...you truly were, and still are amazing. wink

Ya'll need to check out Rex Harper from Kennedale...Going into their game aginst Venus (game 6) he had approx. 65 carries for 866 yards. He currently avgs. close to 13 yards per carry. If he didn't come out the games so early and got 20-25 carries per game (he gets 10-12) he could've easily had over 2000 yards this season.

It has to be Jason McQueen from Jasper. The kid hasn't played a complete game yet and regularly has well over 100 yards at halftime!

yeah, that must have been his brother that killed us (forney) in the 3rd round in basketball last year. lol, we go beat by like 35.

i just found it amazing that a 3A school is so diverse as to have all black players and an all white student section.

Yea i was in the student section for that game in allen, and Chauncey (Terrius's brother) had 12 points, while Terrius had 6 in that game.. Clarksville and Everman had the same diversity when we've played them in basketball.. but white people normally quit basketball here in G-ville before they make varsity it seems
