Well in that light, I may have passed as well. But there would have to be a mighty big curve.:(

I've always been a good speller. I'm one of them fellers that was still standing at the end of class when we had spelling bees. I actually had a photographic memory back then............definitely not anymore, though.:( Musta been those brain-cell killings I did in high school.:D

my mother, the former senior English teacher had this comment for me.

"I'm surprised truly wasn't on the list. I notice you sometimes spell it "truely..." Remember sincerely has the e not truly."

Always got that "red pen" out :D

Spiff got 21 out of 25 correct the first time...my spelling was adequate, my vocabulary was atocious. My High School English teacher would have been aghast. She would would have been rapsodic however when I got 25 out of 25 the second time I took it (after I printed off the answers.)

Correction...correction...correction...the correct word is atrocious...I corrected it before anyone counted off, therefore the word stands corrected.

Let me give you and your husband a hint that might make you checkbook a little easier. I usually use the numeric form when completing my check book.

Example

389.24
-40.21
---------
349.01 is much easier than

thee hundred eighty nine dollars and twenty four cents

minus forty dollars and twenty one cents

equals three hundred forty dollars and one cent.

Just trying to be helpful!!
