I know we have some Jasper poster's, wanted to know if anyone knows the guy who was on Idol last night. Pretty good singer, made it to Holleywood. Looks like he could have played some football.

That guy was a plant. Much like the bikini girl was a plant by the show. Anything for ratings! I might beleive that a person who was mediocre or average at singing would honestly believe they have talent. But the hundreds and hundreds of people who are so ridiculous as to make you laugh until you pee yourself are planted by the producers and paid to make fools of themselves. Deep voice guy couldn't even speak a single sentence without running out of breath from his nasal inhale sytle so how in the heck would he have thought he might be America's next Idol????? The same could be said for most of the really ridiculous ones. It's just entertainment.... but last night was hilarious!

Please Select a Bandwidth High | Med | Low American idol' returned for its eighth season tonight right here on Fox 4. It's exciting for us now being able to air American Idol.
We have at least one local guy that made it on the show.

Michael Sarver is from Jasper. He is 27, married with a son and daughter. Something interesting, he said his job on the oil rig is the fifth most dangerous job in the world

I dont think they are plants..I think there are two sections

The ones who will do anything to be on TV and dont care if it is to look like a fool

And the ones who are VERY deluded and truly believe they can sing. Seen this type a 1000 times in churches and karoke competions. They hear from their family how amazing they sound when in reality they are terrible

It wasn't her voice. IMO, her body isn't what I would think that most "guys" would "gawk" at. I thought most men preferred curves!! Personally, I don't even think she's that pretty!!

She had a nice tan though!!:p
