Phil Pressey What he did: Pressey led ESD (14-4, 1-0 in SPC South) to two victories last week. He just missed recording triple-doubles in wins against Greenhill and San Antonio St. Mary's Hall.

The stats: Pressey had 25 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists against Greenhill on Tuesday. He had 37 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists Saturday against St. Mary's Hall.

Who is he? Pressey, 17, is a 5-9, 165-pound junior point guard. He is averaging nearly 20 points and 10 assists a game.

He said it: "There's no reason why we should lose if we play our best. If we play like we did last week, we'll be a champion."

Coach said it: "One of my starters [forward Trevor Fuller] is out with an ankle injury. [Phil's] really stepped it up with his scoring and rebounding. He's trying to take over some of the load Trevor had." – Corey Henderson

Did you know? Pressey, a move-in from the Boston area, is the youngest son of former NBA guard Paul Pressey, now an assistant coach for the New Orleans Hornets. ...
