Congrats to her on a significant milestone.

It got me thinking....a certain Celina Ladycat freshman has 282 points so far this year. That's a long ways from 1,000, but on the right track.

Curious, does anyone know how common/uncommon 1,000 point career scorers are in Bball? How about 2,000? Anyone know what the career records are in the state?

I don't really know. It's probably more common in boys than girls. :)

The Texas record is 5,424 by Adrian McGowen from Goodrich. Whitney Hand from Argyle Liberty Christian is number two in Texas with 3,649. She is a freshman at OU right now. Looks like about half a dozen Texas girls have scored 3,000+.

Here's a link to national stats. I believe the link is from 2007.

I do know the DMN recently mentioned that a Roosevelt guard was 23 points shy of 2,000 for her career.

Here's another interesting link for scoring stats from each state.

Wow! That's a LOT! I don't even know how common it is HERE, but I don't think it happens that often.

Adrian McGowen from Goodrich. My friend told me about her and her ability. She has only been out of HS a few years. Is she still playing ball?

I read the other day that Kelsey has signed to play for Howard Payne. They're getting a good one!

I dont know if she has it yet or not but this girl named Alex Furr for Athens is the best girls shooter I have ever seen.

First of all, hope everyone on 3ADL is doing well! Been a while since I've been here, now doing some catch-up (or is it ketchup?)

Here's some info on Kelsy, a senior, and her 1,000 point milestone

**There are 14 girls in the 1,000-point club, Kelsy is now #13. Liberty Hill HS girls' all-time leading scorer is Mary Parker (1966-69) with 2231 pts. Kelsy passed Jade Pauley (1000pts). #12 is Tonya Sherwood at 1137 pts.

**Kelsy is currently #4 on the assists list with 330. #1 is Jennifer Winters with 564. #2 is Kerri Winters with 386, then Tonya Sherwood with 341. Kelsy could get to #2 before all is said-and-done.
