Uh, TXB, to you young folks it may SEEM like the end of the world if your Blu-ray recorder and your PS3 don't work---but there is still life without electricity---maybe you ought to take Buffy camping sometime to prepare....:D

If all the planets line up like they say will happen, then there has to be an effect.

It may be minimal.... or it may be disastrous. None of us know.

Pretty cut and dry if you ask me...no planetary alignment.

It does seem like other major media corporations are trying to bank off of "Armageddon Week" lol

This is the umpteenth time I have heard in my lifetime about a date when we all are going to die. The next big one is 2029 (?) when that asteriod comes very close to the earth. When will all this crap end?

For you young folks on here...don't worry about it. It aint gonna happen. Even if it does, there's nothing you can do about it!! Don't worry, be happy!

It may be a bunch of bs but I've made plans to spend Christmas in Sweetwater in 2012. I'd rather deal with turmoil in West Texas than here in Houston.

the Y2K bug? Never heard of it. Must have been years ago.:p

I remember that in 1984 the world was supposed to come to an end. I also remember a more realistic scene during the Cuban Missle Crisis when we all thought we were going to get nuked. And there were some times during the Cold War that a lot of folks felt uneasy. Y2K was a joke.

I openly scoff and sneer at 2012.
