Buddy, I am right there with you. I dont know where it came from but my personal computer is always locking up with the anti virus 2009 blocking every thing. All it is trying to do is sell me something I dont need, but I can not seem to get rid of it.

Anybody that can help will have at least 2 new friends!

Jason had dual 22" monitors that he plays WoW on. A different character on each

weird...I'd never gotten that until today right after I left this site...is there a potential problem there?

Try Malwarebytes. It's a free virus/malware removal tool. Make sure you update it after you install it. Use the quick scan.

I would suggest not using IE.

yup, used this a few days ago. Took care of the problem. It will ask you to restart your computer.

thanks guys - I'm on a mission - wish me luck :) I HAVE to use IE with about 90% of the programs for work - they won't accept Firefox so I am stuck with IE

My mother got this on her computer, and we ended up taking it to have it fixed. (Thanks, Bullaholic!) We literally couldn't get an IE window open long enough to even see a screen before the AntiVirus 2009 window popped up. When we came home, we had a nice fresh copy of Malwarebytes loaded up, and she's been virus free ever since.

The boys got it on their computer - and it's not "real" AV software. I'll get lhpd to use the malwarebytes thingy. Thanks for the info!
