Should Utah's Kyle Whittingham and USC's Pete Carroll and Texas' Mack Brown make their case for their teams to be No. 1 -- despite Florida and Oklahoma meeting in Thursday's BCS National Championship?

Of course, Florida coach Urban Meyer said today.

"That's absolutely what they should do. I've got news; I'm representing the University of Florida, and I'm an employee of the University of Florida and I represent my players -- most of all, I'm going to fight like a dog to take care of them.

"... You don't really understand the whole mechanics, investment and passion that these coaches have.

"Of course they should do that."

I am glad he said it..I get so tired of hearing Coach so and so is whining and so on

That is what they HAVE to do in the system football uses, sale the team and the season. It is not whining...If a coach does NOT sale their team imo something is wrong
