I think this is another one of those necessary impingements on individual privacy necessitated by the times in which we live. You would think that 21st century technology could find a way to do this effectively electronically.

There is. Metal detectors. Went through one last night at the AAC.

But this isn't about weapons. This is about fans sneaking in food and drinks as much as they want to say it's not. Pat downs are not going to prevent from someone bring in a hand grenade. You can just wear some big under wear and put it where they aren't going to pat down and hope it doesn't go off :eek:

Now there I can sympathize with the fans---you need a loan to visit most stadium concession stands. Years ago,I used to love to go to Saints games and buy draft beer from the vendors with beer tanks on their backs in the stands.
