Who decides on the all state team? Does each head coach nominate players and then other coaches vote?

I do not believe there is a Coaches all-state team. The two major All-State teams are the AP (regular season stats considered only) and the TSWA All-State team (post season stats considered)

Coaches poll comes out the end of January or first of Feb. Last years is even listed on this site. There will also be several sites like Texas Prep that will put out all state teams by member nominations.

Everybody always likes it when one of their "own" gets some love from these all-state teams, but I would just like to say how glad I am that Cameron Green of the Bridgeport Bulls got 1st Team QB honors--he was a huge part of the Bulls success running and passing this past season and was a real warrior who played hobbled during the playoffs, and never sat but for a handfull of downs. When his younger brother, Corbin Green, the Bulls 2nd Team all-state RB was unable to play in the Liberty Hill game, Cameron picked up the slack and played valliantly in a losing effort along with the rest of his Bulls teammates.

Megadittos on your comments about Cameron. If anybody was deserving from this year's Bulls team it should have been Cameron. He also played with a broken finger on his throwing hand for most of the season. His being left off the AP was a travesty of the highest degree.

I think this was just Texas Prep Insiders team..not an official All State team

Not real sure what constitutes an "official" all state team..but I think this one got a little closer

Sounds like a lot of strong kids coming back, lots of all district and a few all state returning. Monahans should be loaded in 09 if this is accurate. They certainly have the QB.
