Cowboys Fire Special Team Coach

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise but special teams coach Bruce Read has been fired.

Read's two years with the Cowboys were met with inconsistent to poor special teams play from the coverage units to the return game. It's believed he had a year left on his contract.

We'll have more on this in a bit.

Special teams had some real issues this year. Can't say I'm surprised.

Until Wade Phillips puts Special Team play as a priority they will struggle no matter the coach

Phillips has NEVER been a believer in actually taking practice time and working on it except at the bare minimum alloted time

I liked Joe also, but if he was so great why has he been unemployed lately?

Joe was fired in Oakland when Norv Turner was fired as the HC.:(
