Lincoln knocked off Woodrow tonight 68-61 and that means we've got round 2 of the rivalry this year! Our only 3A rival is Velt and this is as good as it gets for us Trojan fans getting to play Lincoln in a big game like this. I sure don't feel good though going into this one because Lincoln is still plenty pissed about losing to us about a month ago. :(
I believe the game is at noon at Forester and it's the quarterfinals of the Coca-Cola. We haven't beaten Lincoln twice in the same season since 2000. That also happened to be the last time we made it to the state tournament. We split in district that year with Lincoln and beat them in the regional final by scoring the final 11 points (78-73) against a team featuring Chris Bosh.
If we beat the Purple Tigers we will more than likely play the big bad Madison from San Antone. That would definitely be a David vs. Goliath game if we are fortunate and lucky enough to somehow sneak past Lincoln.
