Tonight, on the way home from my sister-in-law's in Corpus, we stopped and filled up at the Stripes in downtown Gregory. It cost a whopping $31.00 to fill up (24 gallons, I wasn't quite empty). During the early part of football season, I was spending approximately $88.50 to fill up. I didn't notice what diesel was at this station but at the Valero on Wildcat Drive in Portland it was $2.19.

Wow...............Gas was a 1.39 at the local Wally World in Brownwood, if you used their card. Did not check to see what the price of diesel was.:D

Husband couldn't believe the price when he saw it from the highway. So, he exited off the "main highway" and wiggled down to "downtown" Gregory just to see the price for himself. Sure enough, $1.26 for regular. Neither one of us could remember the last time we had filled up for less that $40.00. Cool Beans. Prices in Refugio, Goliad and Cuero are averaging $1.44/$1.46:eek:

The lowest I have seen it is $1.43 here in the valley. Its to bad that all that money I am saving on cheap gas has gone to 2 speeding tickets in Los Fresnos in the last month. I hate driving thru that town.

Thanks for the update, I'm heading to Corpus in a couple of hours for the CalAllen Tourney. I am sure to swing by.
