They just announced Marlin and Burnet will be the featured game of the week. I guess we are not the only ones who think this will be a great matchup this week.

Jordan Shipley against Midland Christian caught six passes for 136 yds., four were td receptions. Shipley now needs two more td. receptions to tie the record for career receiving td's. The current record is 55 held by Broderic Jones former Ennis standout. The 136 yards gained now puts Shipley just 110 yds. short of Cody Cardwells 4,241 yds. set in the yrs. '96 thru '98 at Stephenville. The record for career receptions is 252 set by Nati Valdez at Mission '86 thru '89. Shipley is now 58 receptions from from tying up that record.

What do they do for the game of the week? Will they show highlights? If so, when will they be aired?

i think all they do is send the reporter (rick renner) to interview the chaches after the game and maybe do a preview.

They always show the highlights on as many games as they have footage. You can bet if it is the game of the week- you get a really good amount of hihglights! It is on at midnight Friday night and again at 9:00am Saturday morning the day following the game. We always try to watch it- it gives you a pretty good idea of what the teams look like that you will be facing in the upcoming season if you make the playoffs.
