Now if only they could find a scoreboard that can pitch.

Sure is crazy all these people building new things with the economy the way it is. Wonder if the tax payers will have to pay for it like the new stadium in new york.

Why are they adding seats? They sell out what, maybe opening day and that's it?

Nope. I read a comment on a blog yesterday that said these upgrades have been paid for by Wes Littleton, Kameron Loe, and Gerald Laird.

(For those of you who may not know what that means, those are three players who were on the Rangers last year that have been traded for nothing, and their combined salaries come to almost the exact amount that these upgrades cost.)

I for one, am disappointed that the left field scoreboard is going to become electronic. That's going to take away from some of the old-time nostalgia feel that I thought the stadium had.

I thought they were moving the Left Field fence back 50 ft. to keep opposing hitters from launching balls over it.

They don't need to. They can win without it, as demonstrated by their record since Minute Maid opened in 2000(7 winning seasons in 9 years).

How've the Rangers done in that time? I usually don't hear too much about them unless it's April.

The Astros are in a weak division for one reason. If the Rangers were in the Astros division, they'd make the playoffs about as often as the Astros.
