This is the sports writers picks or the sports editiors, not the AP poll, correct?

Xavier Daniels Giddings Sr. DB

Interesting he is state first team defense and only 2nd team defense in District 25-3A.

Makes you wonder how he didn't even make the All District 1st team.

I think APSE is what the link I read yesterday said.

1. If Celina wins State on Friday, this list shows that you don't need stand out players to stand out. Celina comes together as a team to win.

2. Perhaps the reason we don't have anyone on the first and second list is because we have so many really good players, it's more difficult to stand out than it would be on a team filled with mediocre players.

3. So which is better... to be a stud on a team that doesn't win it all, or be a contributing factor to the team that does?

Yes, we know. I'm almost positive that someone has mentioned it a time or ninety-seven.

Honestly, Cole Hubble is deserving of at least honorable mention. He should be first or second team.

I believe Trevor Owens didnt deserve to be an all state player. But congratulations to all the other all state players!

I respectfully disagree with you Tres Loboes. Owens was the Defensive MVP of the district and was a force to be reckoned with at defensive end. Owens, Coldeway, and Layman were all deserving of their honors. My only complaint is why QB Quncy Titus didn't at least get All State Honorable Mention.

Well, since you (by your own admition of your own ignorance) are not really sure if anyone has mentioned it before, I'll make sure it does happen where others can see it too. - Thanks.

I guess since you're an avid reader of this forum and a MOD, and since you're not sure you've read it, others need to see it to, so I'll post it in other threads so all can read. Great Idea - Thanks.

I'd hate for others to not get to read it, and since you're not sure you've read it, I'll be sure and re-post it elsewhere so others can read it too. - Thanks for the idea.

I disagree with this statement. Trevor Owens is a beast on the football field. He also battled through a knee injury which kept him from playing in a game this season against a weaker opponent in the district. He deserved this honor. It had nothing to do with him being a coaches son.

I know he's a stellar player and all but....does anyone have Chris Whaley's stats for this year? With all the struggles Madisonville had this year, along w/ him missing quite a bit of it....I have a hard time agreeing w/ him being first team....

Troy, sounds like you speak from experience. I guess you've had a kid (or kids) ride the bench or not get enough playing time. I think the people that vote on these kids take into considerartion what they accomplished and really don't care where they're going to college or who their parents are.
