Central Texas musician Jeff Chance passes away.

Jeff Chance, great singer and musician(fiddle and steel guitar) passed away to be with the LORD. His Funeral will be at the 1st. Lutheran Church in El Campo Tuesday, Dec 16 at 2:00PM.

Prayers go out to his family & friends. I know FBB & Bull19 would like to express their condolences to his family & friends.

He from Danevang orginally outside of El Campo
I knew him very well

was a great steel guitar and fiddle player

played with lots of band and play steel for Gene Watson

Jeff played and his own band Texas Pride in the 70s and 80s

Changed his name to Chance when they band tried to make it big in Nashville but never did.

He was always very humble and had lots of musician friends all over the state

I heard he had terminal illlness but no details

Jeffery ³Jeff Chance² Barosh Sr., 53, of El Campo, died Friday, Dec. 12,
2008.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1954 in El Campo to Eugene ³Sonny² and Lois
Thonsgaard Barosh. He was a country musician with several recordings.
His
last CD, ³Back Again² was #1 in several European countries this summer.
Survivors include his mother; sons, Jeff Barosh Jr. of El Campo and Jake
Barosh of Baytown; brother, Mick Barosh of El Campo; and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father.
Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church with
Pastor Clyde Grier officiating. Interment followed at Swedish Lutheran
Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.

I think 53 and I heard he had a heart attack.

He's still missing but most down here in Wharton area believe he is alive and well in another country
