I saw Giddings do more to keep Bellville in the game than Bellville did last week. They've gotta change that to get the W this round.

The progression of this game does not surprise me one bit. Giddings came from a weak region. Also, the Giddings teams from the previous two years were better than this year's version. Gilmer and WO-S would both win vs. Giddings, as well. Rockdale may also have won that matchup.

That RB from Carthage is a HOSS!!!! 303 on 22 carries against what had been a pretty good run defense. The offensive line for Carthage is awesome and all but one are just juniors. Celina better get ready for next week. This might be the best O-Line they have seen for a long time.

probably one of the best offensive run games i've seen in a while, running back is a complete beast if he gets going, if you can meet him in the hole he seemed fairly easy to take down the three times we did it all night lol...

carthage over celina, no doubt in my mind,

congrats buffs on a great season that no one predicted you to have

Congratulations to Giddings on a great run and season. Carthage was clearly the better team and the Buffs just could not stop the running of D. Smith. What puzzles me is why didn't the Buffs throw the football? When they were stopped on 4th and short on their own 28 yard line in the beginning of the 4th it was game over. Giddings can throw the football. That's how they beat La Grange, on a deep pass on third and long for game winning td. Obviously the running game was not going to work down by 4 tds. Oh well no point in second guessing here as Carthage was just too darn good. Good luck in State Bulldogs! :)

I guess Bellville will see them next year then. As far as a weak region, I just think the Carthage played the wrong team. We blew are game last week and I know we would have faired better against the Dogs.

Carthage played the right team...besides the fact Giddings obviously won the game against Bellville, if anything Giddings almost blew the game fumbling two times and letting Bellville back in, Giddings dominated that game, and no Bellville would not have faired better, they might not have scored and they would not have stopped smith either

I disagree, Giddings was clearly the better team in the R4 finals against Bellville. I don't think Bellville would of matched up very well against that huge line of Carthage.

Congratulations Buffaloes on a great season. A couple of mistakes took you out of scoring a couple more TD's (maybe) but there was no stopping the Bulldog offense which was mostly Smith behind that unbelievable Oline, who was just as advertised and more.

2008 Buffaloes will go down as one with undersized, inexperienced high school friends who were searching for pieces to fill big holes due to graduation. A team with no one to identify them and expectations of failure. Instead they came together and showed us what a team really looks like: determination, heart, teamwork and drive. Much credit should also go to the coaching staff for all the hard work in developing, at the most average, athletes into a fundamentally pretty good football team. Together, they played several levels above what they should have been able to do.

Good luck Carthage. A tremendous group of athletes that no team in our schedule (including Liberty Hill),district (Bellville/Sealy) or Region could have even touched.

What a game the final one will be, very obviously two loaded teams.

You're as bad as trenches06 saying that Giddings didn 't deserve a shot at the title...lol

Bellville got out played by a smaller Giddings team and out coached again... "The Ville" has only beaten Giddings once in 5 years...

You might see them next year if yall don't underachieve again...
