Sweeny BB Improves to 12 - 0

Sweeny's Bball team just improved to 12 - 0 after blowing away everyone in the Van Vleck Tournament. Yes, it was a tournament that they should have won but they did it with tremendous offense and a suffocating defense.

Sweeny came in as the #12 team in 3A and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't move up.

Sweeny had a game vs. Tidehaven coming up but Tidehaven cancelled DUE TO FINALS:thinking:

So Sweeny's next game will be Dec. 29 and 30 at the Corpus Christi Calallen Christmas Classic (I believe that is the name). It is a 4A & 5A Tournament but I believe Sweeny and 3A #5 West Oso are the only 3A's. Anyone know of other teams besides Calallen?

There are only three that play football which will be back in 09 the rest that will return only play basketball.

Go Dogs! Bring back the tradition of multiple basketball state titles in the 1980s (& one in the 1950s too). Best of luck & hope to catch a game down the line.
