Cool fact about the green and white bulldogs

I know that Shipley has already been nominated for the US Army All-American game, but on the game's website it has a list of 400 of the best players in the country that can be nominated for the game. Burnet has 3 players on the list and De La Salle high school in CA has only 2 players listed. For those of you who don't know about De La Salle they have not lost a game since about 1991 or so and have been national champions several times.

that's because Cali doesn't have a true "state champion" like Texas. they have several...it's like if you win your district, you're the state champion, or something crazy like that. someone explained it to me several months ago.

What they have is called "Sectional" Champions.....it's kinda like our Region 1, 2, 3, and 4 champs.

So, in the Div. 1 playoffs.....Burnet, Jasper, Gainesville and Abilene Wylie would be "Sectional Champions" and the season would be over.

In Div. 2, it would be the "Sectional Championship" games going on.

California does not go beyond the Sectional Championships for some STUPID reason.

I have a friend from Oakland that played football, basketball, and track over there and from what I understood they had a north and south champion.

I was looking at the Nominations for the US Army All American Game. I couldnt tell if any of the other Texas Nominees were 3A players. Can some one else possibly post the game web site, (sorry, I dont know how) so some of you guys can maybe spot any other 3A players?
