ESPN Radio is reporting that Muschamp is taking the Auburn job. I can't find a link anywhere. Has anyone else heard or seen this?

I guess 3mil is better than 900K. If this is true.

Rumors swirling all over the place. A couple media outlets in Alabama reported it, but had nothing to confirm it. ESPN ran with it; again, just using the 'Bama outlets, nothing confirmed. Word on this side is Muschamp just got back last night from a recruiting trip to Arizona with Mack, and is now calling all his recruits to dispell this.

All I've got now; I could definitely be way wrong on this. Hope not though.

I would almost think that he'd be crazy not to accept that job at Auburn. #1, its a lot of money Im sure #2, Mack Brown might not step down for years #3, those kids at Auburn are a lot of the kids he recruited for his defensive system so the kids are in place

There's nothing to this rumor. Muschamp has said on several places this morning the reports are false!

well i like to think muschamp is a man of integrity but how many times have we heard someone say something to the media only to do the exact opposite

I highly doubt that there is any truth to this. He has a great deal right where he is at and it is only going to get better for him in the future

Muschamp is denying the deal happened, but sources keep saying it's gonna happen, we'll see shortly probably.

Muschamp told ESPN's Joe Schad that the report was false & that he was staying at Texas.

Guess we'll see, but he has a pretty sweet deal in Austin.

Nothing I can complain about that people will listen to. Good seeing you back on the board, if only for a drop-in.

He would be nuts not to take it. What if his defense starts to look bad and then they fire him? Yellow teeth may stay for 8 more years. I would not blame him for going. You are never guaranteed
anything in life.

Major Applewhite ought to be pleased if it's true. By the time Mack Brown does retire he'll be in his prime to take over.

At the link below, it mentions that Auburn is going to talk to Gene Chisik who is the Head Coach at Iowa State. He used to be the DC at Texas. This is where the rumor might have started. People hear bits and pieces and then start the ball rolling.

http://www.footballscoop.com/?cat=24 That would make sense, I'm sure Chizik is dying to get out of that football hell hole.
