Kountze should really dominate 2A in basketball. Newton will dominate the district in football.

Newton turned in 366, so there is a chance that Newton could go small school.

Ballinger dropped to AA and into a VERY stong district with the likes of big school and small school state finalists Jim Ned and Bangs. We also graduate the house this year, but have some good underclassmen coming up, but it may be a year or two before we can be at the top!!

You never know OC. Things are looking good for Newton next yr, even if we would have stayed in 3a. We lost a hoss of a MLB but have some good ones coming up and as always we will be QUICK. Overall I think we will be a little improved over last yr.

The 3A cutoff was 390. White Oak turned in 395 and Tatum 393....Atleast we are in the same district now....

Newton will have no trouble with Celina this year!That may be the funniest post I have ever read. The only way either of those teams would have "no trouble" with the other will be if they don't get to play each other. Newton and Celina will BOTH terrorize 2A. Just wait till 1999,2000,2001,2002 and tell me that Celina will not be a "problem".
