Heck of a run is it not? Is LH Jerry's first head coaching job?

If I remember this correctly he was head coach one year a long time ago. He was assistant after that until he came here. I couldn't imagine asking for more, he has got the most out of what he's had year in and year out and hasn't had any D1 players. Oh he did have one go to Navy

That's one heck of a record. Didn't know he has been there for that long. Really turned LH into a 3A powerhouse in a short amount of time!

And one to Texas A&M, and one to Rice...and several to D2 schools.

Have a lot of people wanting to get the heck out of Austin (Don't Blame them one bit) moved to that area? How long ago were they 2A or 1A?

Didn't he say he would retire if he won another state title?

I know i read that on the board sometime ago.

Coach Vance paid his dues for a long time before getting his shot at a head coaching job. He was a solid and loyal assistant from everything I've heard about him.

Sometimes average coaches get head coaching jobs before they should and some great assistants never get a chance to be a HC.
LH probably took a chance when they hired Coach Vance and he probably took a chance in going to LH. It's worked out great for both.

In the 15 years prior to Coach Vance, Liberty Hill was 62-92-2.

Vance's predecessor was Southlake Carroll's current head coach, Hal Wasson, who in two seasons went 5-15.

Coach Vance's Panthers have now won three different regions over the past five years. 2004-R4, 2006-07-R3, 2008-R1. I wonder if that's ever been done before?

Liberty Hill moved up to 2A in 1980. We were 3A in 88-89, and then moved up again permanently in 94. The growth has started to move out this way, which is why most predict we have maybe 5-7 years left in 3A. The increase in enrollment has helped participation numbers, but the program that Coach Vance and his staff have established is the real key to the success. We beat teams routinely that have more God-given talent, because rarely do we face teams that outwork us or outplay us. This week's opponent is one of the few I'd put up on our level in those two categories.

You read it on here, but as far as I know, he hasn't said when it will be. In case you haven't noticed, not everything on here is accurate.
