SPOILER WARNING!

My father once told me that was a common problem in the old days when they had those hand cranks with cars. Cats loved to get under the hood where it was warmer and when they did the hand cranks many cats lost their lives. It got to where car owners would shake the hook of the car to scare the cats away before they started their car.

Probably not but it does provide useful information. The first thing I am going to start doing is shake the hood of my car before starting it to scare cats away from the motor and fan.
