Congrats again to all those recognized. Sure are alot of seniors on the Cuero list - but we've got some good players coming back as well as those moving up from JV and Freshman..... Big shoes to fill, but Coach Reeve and his staff do a fine job of "refilling" those shoes. Looking forward to #61 and #32 on the D Line :)Excited about the season next year - Thanks again for the great memories guys.. It's been another great ride ;)

ps I notice several Juniors on this list from Yoakum - I expect the Bulldogs to come back next year with a very strong team as well as Edna and Goliad.
I was going to do the other teams in their colors, but Goliad, Edna and Yoakum are all BLUE and they looked the same so I just went back to just the Gobbler Green ;)

Not trying to take away anything from the Gobblers, but the newcomer is never a Sr. and it's not all that unusual for one of the two remaining MVPs to be an underclassman. One thing for sure, Arndt and Jackson will be quite a tandem next year.

Edna was very young this year and we got about what I think we deserved. Yendrey is a stud who I think will do great things at TCU. He's still growing and you don't find many kids that big and stong who also run on a District championship (2A) 4 X 100 relay. He's a 3A kid to watch in DI.

We've got a young man who had grade problems who we hope will step in at RB next year. He's unbelievably good, maybe not in Jackson’s class, but close. Our soph MLB Nick Morrow is a stud who will be making news for the next two years. Throw in that we started between 5-8 Sophs each game, have Kam Jones returning and I expect Edna to be very competitive next year.

Jackson is an awesome talent and IMO he was the best player during the district season as he was unstoppable.

The point of my post was it's not unusual to have two MVPs coming back because one, the newcomer, is always coming back. No slight intended to the Cuero kids as they were clearly superior in district play.

That is good. I just did not know their record and I saw how many 1st teamers they had.

I always laugh when a team has a lot but they went 2-8 or 2-7 on the season. This was not the case.

Anyone have complete stats for the year. I'm a numbers person and would like to see how everything ended this year for the gobblers.
