Int. by Romo and the defense holds them...Steelers fieldgoal goes wide right...Cowboys take over ...more cold weather for a Texas team

Can the Cowboys knock off the Steelers?

Some good blocking except whitten and that stopped the 4th down play. Dallas D will have to win this early til the offense starts putting the points on the board in 2nd qtr

You know... you can feel Dallas starting to take over the game a little bit. IF... and its still a big IF, but IF they Boys get another decent drive together that eats up some clock and puts another Seven on the board.... I am gonna feel very good about this game.

Cowboys moved ahead of Atlanta even with the loss, they're at the no.6 seed spot and would'nt be suprise if 10-6 gets them in still as long as their losses are to AFC team. So 2-1 with wins over the Giants and Eagles will get them in.

Sorry but I have always thought the QB cannot win a big game is a crap statement...Did Big Ben "win" the SB...by scoreboard yes he did, but he did NOTHING in that game to help Pitt win, yet he has won a "big" game

Just think that gets thrown around way to much in today's sports media..he cant win the big game or his stats are not pretty but he knows how to win and things like that

The problem is that if you win all season and don't lose a single game and then can't manage to win in the playoffs...what good do all those regular season wins mean? The goal isn't to have a perfect regular season. The goal is to win a Super Bowl. And if you can't get past round one of the playoffs, it is never going to happen. And to be honest, I'm fairly certain most of the Cowboys would agree with me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a diehard Cowboys fan, and I (usually) like Tony Romo. I've been saying for two years that he was the QB we needed. But he really does seem to choke in some high pressure situations. When he's rolling, he really rolls. But when he's not, the wheels come off the bus, and that's what happened today.

O.k.....hang on folks--I'm going to give an "old school" response. As a lifelong Cowboys fan, which I will be till' my days are over, I feel that the Cowboys lack discipline from the top---and I mean the coach, Wade Phillips. The mistakes that the current Cowboys team are making are mostly mental and I lay that at the feet of the coaches. I don't like the perceived "we practice hard and just do our jobs on Sunday" philosophy that permeates the Wade Phillips era. Somebody, sometime has got to light a fire under these highly paid prima donnas butts and let them know that going thru the motions now and then won't put a Superbowl ring on any fingers. I think the Cowboy's "D" has more of a sense of urgency and has stepped up their play in recent weeks, but the offense continues to wallow in mediocrity and mental mistakes in crucial game situations. I think Jerry Jones has tried to stroke the fur of some of his stars a little too much and a little too often. Again--I am old school--I believe in the Vince Lombardi's of the world---and I would love to see a little of Mike Singletary's or Jimmy Johnson's coaching styles be applied to these present day Cowboys. They are going to need this type of guidance, motivation, and leadership from the top if they are ever going to get where we fans want them to be---at the top of the NFL.

This is a really frustrating loss, and no question that Romo had a bad day.

However, I think us Dallas can take some positives from the game. The defense played very well and most importantly, Dallas matched, and at times surpassed, the physicality of Pitt. The Cowboys defense got after their butts. If Dallas plays with that type of intensity, they have a good chance to win the next 3.

No one but him threw those passes. Bad routes, who cares. Throw a good pass to the white jerseys. I mean just every once in a while throw a completion in with all those turnovers. Sorry I am just pi$$ed still. He got a big contract and a celebrity girlfriend and now can't play football as well as he did when he concentrated on nothing but football. He is far from sharp.

Throwing it left handed was just crazy...especially in that weather and the control issues he had the whole game.

I agree he has not been sharp..but I like what a NFL radio guy said last week

on his big TD to TO agianst Seattle he did what only 2 or 3 QBs copuld do..side step rush and complete a bomb in one motion

I think because of his meteoric rise people expect to much from him now

People say he is having a down year

yet he has still thrown 22 TDS..96 rating, only thrown 11 ints and completing 62% of his passes

Giving your opponent a first down in your red zone by having 12 men on your defense is inexcusable at the high school level, much less in the NFL. Terrible, unacceptable coaching mistake that cost the Cowboys dearly. Maybe yelling is not the answer, but I think I would pass out if Wade ever went over and did a Mike Ditka on the guy causing such a critical error---but then again maybe the coaches messed up.

Don't forget Greg Ellis lining up offsides. And Terry he threw 3 of the 11 yesterday and set them up in the friggin Red Zone. QB rating of 48 yesterday I think.

I didn't like the play calling after the Cowboys stuffed the Steelers on that 4th and goal. The following 2 drives didn't hardly go anywhere because the play calling became conservative. There was still 8-9 minutes left in the game and on 3rd and 6 and they run a delayed draw up the middle for no gain. They are supposed to be fighting for their playoff lives and they were calling plays like they had already won.

This is a most bitter disappointing lose to a long time loyal Cowboy fan for years. I never gave up on them until the clock ran out which increased the frustration. :(

agree..but remember the delayed draw on a 3rd down earlier when for 20 yards

and bobcat1 I am not saying Romo played good yesterday, he did not, I just meant as far as the season his play IMO has not been as bad as some seem to act

Choice was pretty good and did break that one good run, but the Steelers were leaving so much open under neath that why not keep attacking there. I just think that Garrett lost his edge. Even if they didn't score on that drive, a first down would have run more time off that clock and could have helped secured the win.
