Here is the updated graphic for Region Champions in the 3rd largest classification going back to 1951 (prior to that there were only 2 classifications that played to a state championship)

Dulles was the original Fort Bend ISD High School and while it has always been known as Dulles, it's first name has changed over the years. The high school IS actually physically located in Missouri City but over the past 47 years a large percentage of it's student population lived in Stafford (before Stafford had its own high school), Sugar Land and unincorporated Fort Bend County. Currently it goes by Fort Bend Dulles.

Neither Region I nor Region IV has made a State Championship Game appearance since 2005

Will the trend continue???

10 out of the last 10 State Finalists (with the DII Finalists yet to be determined in '08) are from Regions II and III

3rd Largest classification? Does that mean that from 79 on down it's 2A schools?
