Why do a lot of MMA fighters/real wrestlers have really ugly ears?

do really ugly ear-having people just decide to fight/wrestle or is it a result of head-gear etc...???

I think its the cauliflower appearance that their ears get after getting pounded on.

The ugly ear is a result of contact during wrestling, boxing, or fighting. What happens is after a hit, punch or in wrestling when taking a shot on someone there is separation of the cartilage from the skin and fluid (edema) builds up. This must be drained and is very painful(I have one and chicks in the know like it!) If you do not drain it your ear will swell up. I had to drain mine 3 times. You should go to a specialist for this. I did mine myself and its not pretty.

problem is draining them still makes them looks odd as they go flat like Chuck Lidell's. Still anything is better than Randy's. Best bust was James thompson against Kimob, exploded like a bomb !
