Ganado beats Falls City 14-7

Moving down to Class A really helped the Indians this year

Congratulations. I don't think your boys will be able to get by the East Texas powerhouse Maud next week. They are tough.

all it takes is a drop of class
to go from cellar dwellers
to region IV champion.

Ganado wasn't exactly cellar dwellers in 2A

maybe not last year, but for the last decade or so they have played in a few quarterfinals down there, and i believe they won the region twice

jeez - If I'm not mistaken - Ganado was the smallest school in 2A last year.

they had about 7 good years of football imo
last year they were outmatched
would've been the same this year if they were still in 2a

upon realignment, do they also change the capoffs?
if they didn't...
wouldn't that make ganado one of the bigger 1a schools?
yet, they're playing in the dII bracket?
weird

aside from this, ganado over FC = not really an upset to hudini
FC's over-rated

heck if I know :p I just remember an article in the Advocate when the figures for the alignment before last came out and they said Ganado was 1 student from being in 1A back then - no idea what they turned in for this last one. I'll also admit I don't know much about 1A or Falls City for that matter - Coach Rabe was my middle son's roommate in college and I am happy for his team..

this was no upset. the harris poll picked the indians by 7. they were the 3rd place team in their district, and now are in the final 4. good luck to them next week.

Harris might have picked them to win by 7 - but just in my humble opinon - a 3rd place team winning the Reg IV championship - sounds like an upset to me..... (disclaimer - as I said above - I don't follow the other teams so FC could have been 3rd place as well - then I guess it's a draw) :)

who the heck cares - :p Hope the Indians win next week.......

yep...they need to worry about Cayuga.......Cayuga put a whipping on Maud yesterday. Yuga is a very good team.....a stud RB, a stud WR, a huge line, good speed......they are gonna be hard to beat.
