District Champions in the 3rd Largest Classification (1951-2008)

I updated my 3A District Champion tables with the 2008 Champs added in. Can someone confirm who was the Official Champ from District 3-3A in 2008 as there was a three-way tie with Monahans taking the DII Winner playoff spot and Seminole taking the DI playoff spot. I currently have Monahans listed.

I realize that there are many districts and many years in which there were 2, 3 or even 4 district co-champs, tri-champs, etc. officially proclaimed but this is a table of the team that got the top seed for each district going in to the playoffs, or in other words, this is a table of teams that would have qualified for the playoffs if the 1 team per district rule (pre-1982) was still in effect.

Please let me know if you see any obvious errors and I will correct them...

The color coding is indicative of the general location of the entire district for each particular year, not the individual team listed, thus for example, Madisonville could possibly be dark blue when part of a district including mainly CenTex area teams, in brown when in a district of primarily DFW area teams and light blue when in a district primarily of East Texas teams.

That's sad. West and McGregor always used to be in a dog fight for the district title back in the 70's when we were in 22-2A when only the district champ went. I believe the coach West had back then was here for 20 years and won 10 district titles. Now you have 3 teams in the playoffs and we can't buy a district title.:(
