Weird how Cooper was lineman of the year, but not first team.

Shows how deep the Big 12 is at QB, when Graham Harrell is a Heisman contender and on the Honorable Mention list.

HAHA, Thats what I was thinking. But I guess not that many teams really use a fullback like A&M does

Stoops lol... WHY? THAT is funny... it should be Leach 100%...

Did Stoops do something he hasn't done atleast once the last 8 seasons?

And if Leach should have shared it with anyone, it should have been Briles... Baylor is very competitive in just his first season... plus bringing Griffin into the big 12?

I think "anything of the year" supercedes 1st team honors. My daughter was Offensive Player of the Year in her district yet not on the all district list at all. I was told OPY was the second highest award behind MVP. Maybe LOY is above 1st team desigantions in the same way.

Yeah that's what would make sense to me too, but he's listed on the second team. I just found that odd.

That is wierd, if I were the first team guy I would demand a recount!

It is like that for every high school all district team I have ever seen but not sure about college.

What is a travesty is Gresham(Oklahoma) getting 1st team over Coffman(Missouri).

That is how I have always seen all districts. Something of the year is a level above just being first team.

That's why you don't see Joe Bob QB get MVP of the district and offensive MVP

If only we could get the high school All District teams to be this precise. I HATE seeing entire teams getting 1st or 2nd string when the friggin team went 3-7. What's the point of that other than "making lil mediocre Johnny feel good?"

what if it was a 3 team district and and the three wins were in district play that would make them dist. champs....or in a four team distict they went 3-1 or in five team district 3-2 with 3 teams tied for first ????????????

So Texas essentially beat the All Big IIX team 45-35. :)

Nice to see a 3a guy on there.

Way to go Brantley. Make us proud in the NFL.

There are a few other 3a players in the list including Sean Weatherspoon(Jasper), Jordan Shipley(Burnet), Stryker Sulake(Rockdale), and Earl Thomas(West Orange-Stark). I agree with some of the others that Leach should have won the coach of the year out right.
