...you upload pictures? I see how to insert an image, but I can't find where to upload one at.

Do you have to have a certain number of posts to do that?

why dont you just upload it to photobucket and then insert the image via the [img] tags.

Laziness mostly.

Although my Mother does like pictures of the kids and that would be a good way for he to see them instead of me e-mailing them to her.

That is how you have to do it on here. They have to be uploaded somewhere on the web...you can't take them from your computer if you want them to show up on your post!
