I have not been to a game were players did not meet at the 50 yard line to say good game. Which games have you been to where they do not say good game?

I haven't noticed this happening. A couple of players might kind of stand on the field in shock they they lost but usually a coach has ended up getting them in the line.

i know for a fact after sealy beat us we didnt meet at the 50 yard line becasue sealy was to busy celebrating like they won the super bowl

Even after the melee between Greenwood and Daingerfield, they still eventually ended up meeting midfield to give the "good game!"

I heard it didn't happen with LG and Columbus for potential obvious reasons.

I guess folks in West Texas don't have a problem shaking hands even with their biggest of rivals?

Every game I've been to the players have shaken hands.

Well, except for Gilmer - Roosevelt last year and back in maybe 1999 Gilmer - Bullard. I was playing J.V. that year and when we went to shake hands a huge fight broke out.

It seemed every year Gilmer and Bullard played, that's what would happen.

We always do that then invite them to join in a circle and prayer if they want. Usually they do.

I believe he was referring to the Gilmer - Dallas Roosevelt game last year.

So you ask why teams don't shake hands in the playoffs, then you reference a regular season game?

Some Bellville fans just can't help taking a swipe at Sealy. Rivals and all that goes with it...thus the "Super Bowl" reference.

Please forgive me. It's just the man in me to assume that everyone I don't know on a forum mostly talking about football is a 'HE.'

I will promise to try to not let it happen again. :D

Understandable, but most of the women on this board are quite knowledge about the sport! :) We don't like to brag though and we always cover any oversights with "but what do I know?" :D

Waco ISD is the same as DEnton and the Bobcats have won there in one State Championship game against Garrison and against a school from Houston in The Kickoff Classic so we're 2-0 on that field. Baylor might be more of a "home field advantage" for LH but all that doesn't relly matter !!! It's the BOYS and I can tell you 1st hand they're rolling and getting after it so we CAN win where ever Waco, Pennington, Texas Stadium so long as Celina play's the they have been.

The BOYS feel that way too !

We tried to meet with Prosper this year and shack hands with them after the game, but bleachers emptied onto the field so we went to the locker room.

I can tell you that in every game that Navasota played this year and last, the teams met at midfield and shook hands.

As a side note, I posted this on another thread, after the loss to LaVega the other night, several Navasota players were either kneeling or lying on the turf crying and LaVega players and coaches were coming to them and congratulating them on a fine game and helping them up to get to the hand shake line. It was very classy on their part and even if you don't like them, they made it hard not to respect them.

I gotta say, Cuero was always classy for us too. The kids were never arrogant after the games, were always cool and invited us to prayer. Made me respect the coaches and team a whole lot.

Check your facts. Sources on the field at that game said a Giddings player started the jawing with a Sealy player and a Giddings coach joined in.

The Sealy program has no less class than Bellville's program, which tells you both school's have class programs.

Ours boys always go and shake hands with the other team and then go behind them when they play their school song. Classy!
