Let's go with the past five (5) years as the criterion for this. Submit away sir!:D

I would place Gilmer above Celina if over the past 5 years

Both have won a Title, both have been in title game and lost

Granted! I just didn't want to put two teams above Celina. You know how they can get! :D

Agreed. Celina has only been successful in 3a the past three seasons (including this year). Gilmer has been a significant contender over the past 5 seasons, during which Celina was winning in 2a. Both programs are up at the top, but I give the edge to Gilmer due to the extra years.

If this is your list, why are other teams "receiving votes"? If in fact they are "receiving votes", who are they from?

The only major omission from your original post top 10 is Tatum (remember that they did win a 3A state title in 2005)

I have a question about your receivng votes list :
Why La Vega and not China Spring?
LaVega is 37-22 ( ranked 35th) and China Spring is 48-14 (ranked 11th) over the past 5 years.
LaVega has been in the play offs only three of the past five years. China Spring has made the playoffs all 5 years.
Head to head in the past 10 years CS 9-2 vs LV. CS is 5-1 in the
past 5 years

Navasota is ranked 38th in wins in the past 5 years
Liberty Eylau is 32th
Carthage 25th
Hondo 34th
Midland Greenwood 40th
Wimberly 13 th
Monahans 18th

AND
Bandara 82nd

The beauty of one's opinion is that it is one's opinion. The "others receiving votes" is just a joke; hence the smiley face. China Spring is a great program and they will now be honorary 11th. Better?;)

Ok question sweetwater is ranked ahead of snyder in the top one hundred for wins. Yet snyder is ahead of sweetwater in the winning percentage. There wins are the same and the percentage is the same go figure.

They should be tied.... there's no way for me to go back and edit the original post though. I don't have those priviledges.
