If both Waco La Vega and China Spring win out, they'd have a "neighborhood/vicinity" championship game. They must both live near the regional border(s).

Have there been any state championship games between teams so close together?

a few years ago in 5A. An all Houston final. One team in Region 2. The other in Region 3.

That game between North Shore and the Woodlands was dominated by North Shore and the fans pretty much filled up Rice's stadium...it was pretty impressive

Those two schools are not ten miles apart though. LV and CS put 25,000 people in Floyd Casey last year for Regional game.

They didn't play each other, but back in the 90s, both LaMarque and Texas City were 4A champs (DI and DII).
