Okay, so I'm checking out the La Vega site and run across this: 2005 State Champs (http://www.lavegaisd.org/info/champs2005.html) :vrycnfsd:

Maybe La Vega won a relay, but it clearly states TRACK TEAM...:thinking: and to me that means the ENTIRE team, right?

Didn't Cuero win state in '05????

Heck, even the UIL thinks Cuero won state!

I didn't look at the link but could it of been the girls team?

It shows the state champs from the boys track team. It clearly states under the accomplishments for each team member that they finished third overall.

Because some of their boys brought home gold, thus making them state champs!

Don't worry Rita...Assuming we don't have someone fail before district or have another dropped baton in a relay, we'll win the team title this year at the state track meet. We'll do it just so you don't look back a few years from now and wonder who got the team title in 2009. :)

The webpage is pretty misleading to me..... this is the 1st thing on the page

Oh well, I'm sure it wasn't done intentially :eek:

It never says they won overall. Is it misleading? Probably so. If Sinton wants to have a page for their state champs that is fine with me!

I THINK the page is simply showcasing the individual State Medal winners

La Vega is still trying to get all the dirt out of their mouths from the dust they ate against Cuero's relay teams ..... State Champion Cuero Gobblers 05 :2thumbsup
