Saw a great game in Pineland tonight. #1 1A West Sabine beat #4 2A Hemphill 14-7. Estimated 8000 in attendance. Not to shabby for a 1A-2A matchup. Just my take.

i attended a 4A game last night.. Rockport Fulton vs. Gregory Portland....
Double overtime game.... 14-7 GP wins.

Living in Hemphill, that loss REALLY hurt. My daughter was at the game, all three touchdowns came in the first quarter. Big rivalry between these two teams, we call this game the Pine Cone Bowl and there is a trophy that goes to the winning team and it stays at the winning school till the next season when they match up again. This is the first time in five years that we have lost the trophy.
