Nice! If we make it home in time, we can listen to some other games.

Anybody know how far some of the radio signals can be picked up, because I won't have access to a computer til I get home.

I'm wondering if I will be able to pick up ANY of the radio broadcasts?

And if so, what stations?

And if so, what stations? It's all dependent on how high up their transmitting antenna is, and how much power (watts) the radio station broadcasts with. On average a good FM radio station is capable of about 40-50 miles...some more...some less....AM on the other hand is good for much further w/ lower wattage....and if you happen to catch an atmospheric skip...can be picked up hundreds even thousands of miles away. That's rare though. Example...I was driving home from Arizona...and was (according to the sign) 358 miles from San Antonio...listening to a Spurs game on AM radio out of San Antone. Pretty freaky. SO....it all just really depends on the station, their equipment, the weather, and the terrain between you and the transmitter. Yes...I HAVE dabbled in RF theory and application once or twice. :D

WOS/Gilmer will be carried on 1600 AM out of Orange.

Refugio/East Bernard, El Campo/Brenham will be on 1390 AM out of El Campo

Navasota/La Vega will be on 1550 AM out of Navasota.

Use a 50 mile radius as your measuring stick for getting these games....but beings they are all AM...you could more than likely pick them up even further out.

Thanks alot. De Nada....I like getting the "where can I find this game" info out there for those who might not be able to make a game......I really got into listening to games online and whatnot when I worked overseas the last time and when I lived in Arizona. I think listening to them online/radio is just as exciting as going to the game :)

KKYX-AM (680) out of San Antonio usually does playoff games and has a REALLY strong signal, especially in the daytime.

Same for me. I sure hope the link on Gobblersports.com works later, or I will be one POd person. I wonder why the links aren't working. They have before.
