I just dont understand how people can say that he is the best when he doesnt throw the ball more than 5 times a game. Somebody please explain this to me.

he is fast, that is why.

So what if he is fast, it just won't help him against Wylie. Wylie's defense will light him up. Wylie's defense is quick and close any hole that opens up. I look forward to seeing Carrillo in the negative rushing yards. Oh yeah, watch for number 87 to be in he's face all night too.

this is too all you haters out there. yall think carrillo is not good enough to run the ball against wylie. yall got another thing coming. he showed me his new move that he is saving for the wylie game, it is called the guacamole dip. it is run off the option play, he comes down the line head fakes one way, spins and dips his shoulder the other way. it will leave yalls defenders light headed. this aint a threat either, just a fair warning. see you fellas in the bowl, not the toilet bowl but the MUSTANG bowl.

I still havent seen anybody explain why some people claim to be the best. He is a good running back. That is not what is in question here. I want to know why somebody can say he is a good QB. I know that his technique isnt the best and that he doesnt exactly throw a tight and accurate spiral. What qualities that a top-notch QB should have does he have?

hey mustang 45
Let carrillo pull his bean dip move and we will see if number 41 is all over him. We will be ready come friday night in the bowl. you can count on it.

Micheal Carrio is trash. And he is no the best QB in district 5-3A.He cant even throw the freaken ball.Thats pretty sad when your best running back is the quarterback.

Have to go with midland grenwoods QB, i have seen him play a couple of games this year and last year and he is a great option QB and probaly the best if seen since crouch from nebraska, they both have the same style of running when it comes to the option and throwing the ball its awasome to see him scramble like the pros and still find a open reciever. that is just my take on the QB situation.

What does Greenwood, or anyone that plays for Greenwood, have to do with this thread?

Let's try Brandon Eagan. Sure he isn't the BEST quarterback, but he IS leading Bellville to the best start since '91!!

True, Carrillo isn't Brett Favre, but everyone seemed to hype him up like he was. He is a great qb, but he wasn't near what i was expecting. Wylie contained him pretty good on the outside, but he did have a few good runs up the middle. It is easy for anyone to gain 180 yds when they rush the ball 35-40 times in one game. The Bulldogs still haven't showed people what they can really do though. They proved they can beat a great team even when they aren't playing good at all.

jykoy, i would have to agree with you. except for the part about him not being the best. i have seen some 5a qbs that dont have the talent and leadership of eagan. his passing is accurate and he is not afraid to run the ball so he can pick up the first down. he is the key the brahmas need to win the championship.

Why the hell does jacket always have to say ignorant stuff. God forbid you say anything to him about because in his young young mind he can always justify everything he said. YOUR NOT GOD jacket.

eagan is great, but i've seen both of these guys play, and i think carrillo, and i think overall he has a slight edge in passing.

I may be kind of partial bu I think that Page from Lamesa is better than Carrilo and the QB from Greenwood. He is faster than both...averages more per rush than them...has more passing yards than them...and is on pace to rush and pass for more than 1,000 yards....that is a feat that you dont see everyday! Just some thoughts..I would love to see your replies!

Best QB in 3A is Johnny Louvier from Gladewater..best all-around QB right now...

I may be biased, but my vote for best QB in 3-A is Sinton's Adrian Alaniz. He's got around 10 yard per rush average. Passes over 100 yards per game with around a 3 to 1 touchdown to int. ratio. The guys very fast and has an accurate arm. Was also voted among the top underclassmen in Dave Campbell's Texas football mag. Already has two years experience as a junior.

HOW ABOUT ADAM MOORE,THE KID FROM MINEOLA. PASSED FOR OVER 1300 YRDS AND RAN FOR OVER 600.. GRANT IT, HE HAS HAD 12 INTS. BUT SOME OF THAT IS BECAUSE OF THE RECEIVERS, NOT GOING THRU WITH THEIR ROUTE. I'M NOT MAKING EXCUSES BUT, HE HAS A GOOD ARM. THIS IS HIS FRIST YEAR TO PLAY FOOTBALL ALSO.

Carrillo had 1,000 rushing & 1,000 passing as a soph. last year.

yes this true about page being the fast one out of greenwood and sweetwater QB'S, but we found out friday in the battle of QB's friday night in the lamesa and greenwood game. Yes we all know lamesa beat greenwood and it was a great game and congrad lamesa on the upset. greenwoods QB had three touchdowns before he went out of the game in the third. He wasn't named offensive MVP preseason all permian basin for nothing.Page and carillo are almost the same in thier style of running the ball.

wish all west texas teams good luck this week.

louvier may be the best senior quarterback right now in 3A...not sure that ricky joe meeks is not the best pure quarterback in 3A, and he is just a junior.
