Well that was the worst we have looked all year. Defensively we played the worst we have looked by far. It was one of those games where everytime Mexia had the ball, you just held your breath. There RB gave us fits. I'm still tryingto figure out what the deal was. You hold em to 7 in the first half, little offensive production on the ground, and then in the 2nd half they must of had 200 yards rushing. I told my wife I believe we went into halftime expecting them to lay down and for us to cruise. Mexia had other plans, and played I am assuming the best football they have played this year.

Offensively Gilmer played well. In the 2nd half we should of just stuck with what we had going. We had a good mix of pass and run til the 2nd half, we got kind of tricky. I am not sure I like stump running the ball so much, let the backs run the ball. We were 0/3 on 4th downs I believe. I'd prefer not putting our D in those sitiuations.

Well you live and you learn. we have lots of things to work on til we play WOS. Gilmer when playing well can compete with anyone, but if we play like we did tongiht, we will not be going very much farther.

Mexia is a good team. They gave China Spring fits this year and ran with La Vega for 2 quarters.

the good thing is if this was just a case of getting up 28-7 and just coasting and not being able to get your motor going again in the 2nd half we won't have to worry about it next week. Should be a great game.
